Holocaust and Human Rights Study Trip to Germany (June 1 – 10, 2024)

The purpose of this trip is to expose the pupils to the German language and improve their German language skills, as well as giving them the opportunity to learn about both German history and modern Germany. At the request of the teacher in charge, the trip shows fine art, castles and gardens, deals with the Holocaust and also offers physical activities such as climbing in a forest high ropes course.
In addition, there is plenty of free time for the students to explore the cities they visit independently and according to their own interests.
The trip leads from Munich via Dresden to Munich.
General city tours alternate with workshops and museum visits. For example, the Alte Pinakothek (Art from the Middle Ages till the 18th Century) and the Pinakothek der Moderne (20th and 21st Century Art) as well as the English Garden in Munich, the Dachau Concentration Camp Memorial, the Residenzschloss Dresden (Dresden Royal Palace), the Bernauer Strasse Berlin Wall Memorial, the Reichstag (seat of the German federal parliament) and the Spy Museum will be visited. Students can also try out their physical skills in the Jungfernheide Forest High Ropes Course, Berlin.
